Delia standing next to one of the many old stumps along the trail, left by loggers more than seventy years ago.  Now, take yourself back to that time, and imagine the hardships involved with first cutting a tree of this size, then having to limb it, cut it into manageable lengths, and then drag it out of the forest to a place where it could be transported to a logging mill!  And all this without chain saws like the loggers use today!  Difficult to imagine!
